This Online Course on Prepping Can Give You a Big Boost
How prepared are you for the uncertainties of life? Do you have some water and food stored? What about your crucial documents? Despite writing about the importance of preparedness, and having purchased some good books on it, I have to admit that other things tend to take priority. If something disrupted my routines, I would have enough toilet paper and AA batteries for a while, but I’m not sure how well I’d do overall!
Chances are that you too have gaps in your versatility. That’s why this online course is such a good thing. It’s put together by Daisy Luther and Lisa Bedford, and I mentioned both of them and their sites on my short list of prepper sites I follow regularly. They offer both a basic and advanced class, starting May 14 with registration open until May 21. Each class consists on live events online, recorded so you can watch them again or if you couldn’t make that time. There is a students’ area on their site with a LOT more information as well.
Prepping Intensive also includes a live, Sunday night check-in for accountability. This is great!
The two of them alone could probably teach a darn good class with their hands tied behind their backs, but they have gone much further, finding quite a few other experts to work with them. Some of them are people who have been through harrowing events–one of them is from Argentina, need I say more?
Here is a list of the topics covered each week in the 8-week Prepping Intensive:
- Water and Sanitation
- Food Storage
- Power Outage Readiness
- Survival Away from Home
- Natural Disaster Prep and Survival
- Health and Fitness for Survival
- Set Up Your Survival Retreat

The more advanced class runs six weeks and just reading what it covers curled my hair. Well, it would have if it weren’t already curly…
- Exit the Economy
- Long-term Sustainability
- Communications and Community
- Surviving with Nothing
- Worst-Case Scenarios
- The Ultimate Bug-Out Plan
